Here's a pumpkin who is happy. Here's a pumpkin who cries.
Here's a pumpkin who's sleepy. Here's a pumpkin who sighs.
Here's a pumpkin who's angry. Here's a pumpkin who's sad.
Here's a pumpkin who is noisy. Here's a glad pumpkin.

Great Grandma Louder
Megan's Great Grandma Louder passed away a week ago today. She was a great woman. She knew her saviors love for her and had a testimony of his power and grace. If there is something needing done, she did it. She had a saying "If you feel sad go to work. If you feel mad go to work. If you have a problem go to work." When we serve others we show love. Heavenly Father and Jesus want us to serve each other. If we go to work and do the things we know we should we will find happiness. There is only one way to find out if you can do something. That is to try. I going to work you can learn and do so many great things. You have a great capacity to love. You inherited that from your mom and generations before you. Remember who you are and what you can become.

Sight Words
Read these with your child and they will be able to read them to you. I am still working on sight words with Megan. We tried to get "a, away, and, can, the, in" today. We made a little progress.

1492 He Sailed the Ocean Blue
Christopher Columbus Song
When Columbus and other explorers set out in their travels, they gathered flowers and other plants they found. So can you. Slip a flower or leaf into the pages of a guide book. Keep it in a place where it will be pressed flat. It takes about 10 days for most flowers and plants to dry. You can later glue them into a scrapbook using ordinary liquid glue.

Ouf "Feild Trip" Today
Travis called this morning and wanted us to bring him some doughnuts at work for the guys. I convinced Megan that we were going on a feild trip. She said "like at school Mom?" "Yes, like at school. It will just be me you and Chloe though." We raced to get dressed and headed out the door. Did the errands we needed to bring Lehi Bakery doughnuts and Mt. Dew to the job site. We did all this and got to Payson from our house in an hour and a half. I thought that was mighty good.
Then I tried to find a place to buy apples. There are all those orchards down there. I had Megan thinking we were lost. Chloe had been asleep for most of this time and didn't have any notions to the going ons. We did finally pull up to a huge barn that had a sign on the outside. Howards Fruit Farm in big letters and a number. I called the number and the lady took us inside their storage. It was a giant fridge with piles and piles of apples in boxes. It was the highlight of they day.

Parent Teacher Night
Seems so sureal to go to a parent teacher conference. I guess I am still in denial. I was able to go with Travis and Megan showed us where her desk was. She wrote her name for us and showed us her cubby. Stuff like that. Miss Andrus said that Megan is a tough girl and likes to play with the boys. I guess she was punching the other kids in her class. Not like a nose bleed punch, but a punch to the arm to say hi I guess.
Gees, I don't know where she gets that from?
Miss Andrus had a talk with her and Megan said she didn't know why she did it. I thought she would be a little more well rounded. She has been in the "system" since she was a baby ie. daycare and preschool. She hasn't done it since they talked. She also said how good she is to get right to work. That made me really happy. I have been working on that one since the day she was born. RIGHT.
The book fair was in the library. Right after I picked her up today I said we could go over. We walked in and the only thing Megan could think about was the little table at the entrance with all the kids junk. Pencils with fuzzy tops, erasers, funny bouncy ball that kind of stuff. Chloe was way more interested in the books. It wasn't like I didn't try to steer her in the right direction, after all it is a book fair. She has a one track mind when it comes to stuff like that. We ended up getting a fuzzy coin purse and she was completely satisfied. It was a $1.50. I did pick up a book to read and a sticker book. She didn't even seem to notice. She makes me laugh.
