Stardust

Stardust

We hung out today and lounged around in bed.  We don't do that very often.  It was nice.  Even Chloe liked hanging out on the bed.  Megan kind of did her own thing, but she said she was happy.  She was doing her barbie's hair today.  She was so excited to use the little black rubberbands in their hair.  She said "OH, THANK YOU MOM!"  What a cutie.
Chloe was doing her little head bobble when the music was going.  She was bobbling so much I though she was going to tip over.  Travis and I got a kick out of her this morning.  She kept putting her head down on me and growling.  Then she would stick her but up in the air like a stink bug.  She thought she was pretty funny.  Funny little girl.  I did some cleaning today and even was able to get to shampooing the carpets upstairs.  Chloe took a good nap this morning.  I think she is over the hard part of this round of teeth.  We only have 5 teeth in now.  We got so many more to go.

Gardner Village

Fishing Witch in the Pond at Gardner Village

Witchy Woman

The witches are here!!!

I took the girls to Gardner Village.  It was so nice to go when there wasn't a million people there.  We had so much fun taking pictures.  I got some cute ones of the girls.  Just so everyone knows, the witches are there now.  The closer you get to Halloween the more crowded it becomes.  It is a fun place to go see once in a while.  They even have a scavenger witch hunt.

Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point

Farm Games

The girls were so cute today.  I told Megan that we were planning on going to see the farm animals and she hugged me and said "Oh THANK YOU MOM!"  Wrapped her little body around my leg.  It is fun to have kids.  Megan remembered coming there with her Dad when we had the Jeep Liberty.  She is our little elephant.  We had so much fun with Chloe.  This was her first time.
I think Chloe's favorite thing was everything.  She was so alert and taking everything in like a little sponge.  Megan was cute with her and wanted her to see enjoying herself.  We saw the baby pigmy goats.  They are no bigger than our Cowboy.  They are so cute.  They were sucking on Megan's fingers.  All the animals were fun.  We are so glad that we got to share this time together before I went to work today.

Sight Words

Read these with your child and they will be able to read them to you.  I am still working on sight words with Megan.  We tried to get  "a, away, and, can, the, in" today.  We made a little progress.

My Little Megan

I just talked to Megan on the phone.  She is having a fun day today.  Her and Abbey were running away from the boys at recess.  They were trying to get them from everywhere she said.  She said the letter of the day was Ss and it was yellow day.  She wore her yellow hairband.  I took her to the library before school in hopes to be able to get some books.  The librarian was busy with a class the whole time.  We left with no books.  We went back outside and Megan could see that her class was already lining up and she was upset.  "Mom. They're already lining up."  She LOVES school.
She was so excited that they had lemon heads for snack, because it is yellow day.  "Guess what Mom?  I love lemon heads!"  She is having the best day, you could hear it in her voice.  It has been a few weeks since I have heard her so happy.  It must be since it is the second week of school that she is doing better.  Starting to make new friends and enjoying it.  She loves when they stand in line and make a train with their friends.  She loves everyone.
Little Chloe is still having such a hard time.  Why do those teeth have to be such a bother? I finally got her happy this morning.  It took some doing too.  I put her back in bed for 5 minutes or so even.  I got her a bottle and some raisens and she was finally not fussy again.  In fact she was a little twurp.  She was doing her smile to get you to smile and make you laugh.  Big cheesy smile and a laugh.  It made my day.  "You stinker."

Johnny Apple Seed.

Johnny Appleseed Games on applejuice.org

Megan is still waiting to be the Queen for the day.  She said it was a secret, but everyday that I take her to school, she wonders who will be the Queen today.  She learned about the letter G and had a really good time.  She said that her teacher loves her.  Isn't that nice to feel that way about school.  She gave a girl a big hug on the way out.  She loves school.
We met Travis down at his mom's and let him take the car and stayed with his parents.  Megan was so excited about being with Grandma Chris.  We helped pick in the garden.  Megan was cute taking vegetables in her bike basket.  It was really fun to help get the peaches and the pears down off the tree.  Chloe was in the swing and she wanted to have our attention the whole time.  As long as you played with her she was good.
Chloe was trashed.  She at a tomato and dropped it in the dirt and started to eat it again.  She got it everywhere.  I don't know that it would have tasted good, with all that dirt on it.  Then we let the girls play in the sand box for a little while.  So between the two, I think she was the dirtiest she has ever been in her life.  How often can you say that.

When did you grow so big?

Travis asked me when Megan grew up today when she was laying sideways on the stairs.  She didn't fit.  She was trying to keep little Chloe off of the stairs.  She is always trying to get up those stairs.  She makes it up them 30% of the time, because she has gotten so quick.  I was trying to keep her downstairs today while putting a late breakfast on the table.  She just wanted to climb the stairs I think.  She just kept trying.  I finally had to have Travis hold her for a second while I finished and then stuck her in her high chair.  While we were eating breakfast I asked Megan.  "When did you grow so big?"  She got a smile and looked sideways.  She was pretty proud of herself.  Seriously I think she grew 3 inches in the past 3 days.  That can't be possible.  I just ordered her some Scholastic books for sight words.  Weird.  My little girl is going to be reading before you know it.  She is an elephant when it comes to remembering things.  Or at least that is what Travis says.  "Who's a little elephant?"  I don't think Megan really knows why, but she always says "ME".  An elephant never forgets.
